Thanks - I was pleased with how it turned out..but I had to dig out my super - concentration life - drawing mind - set from years back to do the face!? Unfortunately that was missing when I totally failed to draw Robin yesterday.

First off, I love your work. It's been a great source of inspiration.
As a general observation though, I've noticed that your colored work loses a lot of detail and 'life' when compared to your sketches, which are acctually really very very good (a lot better than mine at any rate).

I appreciate your words, I should try to color the sketches from scratch but it's hard since I use very hard pencils...

No chance for substitutes I gather. You could try getting a 'lighting trhough'(not sure that's the term).
My first one was s sheet of milk/white glass on two beercrates, with a desklamp underneath, they don't need to be expensive.
That way you can color your work without the sketchlines. My Tilandra pic was done that way. You can always add the harder pencil lines afterwards where needed.

Well, I color my drawings digitally, that's why the pencil lines are lost after scanning the pic...
