Description
Danielle Moonstar was an original member of the New Mutants, a group of pre-X-Men whom Charles Xavier gathered as students at his school for “gifted” youngsters. Known as Mirage on the team, she had the ability to pull images of great terror or desire from her enemies and manifest them as three dimensional illusions. As a by-product of this ability, she could focus her psionic powers into energy arrows which stuns opponents. She also had a type of telepathic empathy with animals. After being depowered on M-Day, Dani was able to regain the powers she was granted by the Asgardian Goddess of Death, Hela, as a Valkyrie. She rode a winged horse named Brightwind and wielded a sword made of the mythical metal Uru.
