Jennifer Jones

This is Jennifer Jones from the comic Alias: Not just a normal woman at all. Very distinct look. Long brown hair, frequently in her face. A little bit disheveled, intentionally, as she's somewhat uncomfortable standing out in a crowd, since she's basically a cipher of the ex-celebrity... she still as her powers, which are basically strength, flight, etc but she hardly uses them, and she tries for anonymity while existing in the superhero world. Her backstory was that she was briefly a member of the Avengers (this is retcon) as the Gem or some such name, but quit early because she couldn't deal... she was a private I for quite a while, which was the Alias book. In fact, technically, for context, Bendis had been intending this book to be about Jessica Drew, the retrired Spider-Woman. but it was decided that the character's backstory was better if she was NOT an accomplished experienced hero, but rather a flame-out who wasn't cut out for that world. They folded up ALias into the book Pulse, which focused on her, Luke Cage, Ben Urich and a few others, loosely wrapped around the concept of doing story vetting for the Bugle. But this series recently ended.

The character's most interesting period, I think, has been her pregnancy and warming up to a life with Luke Cage and re-embracing her confidence a bit.
