Description

A concept played with for decades now, from Superman: Red Son to Gotham by Gaslight... to take a recognizable character, and reinvent them either as a national hero from a different country of origin, or imagine them, iconography and all, developing in a different culture. This jam was inspired by DC's new Super-Man series, featuring the titular hero, but in China. In that case, it's a bio-lab engineered powerset and a propaganda tool specifically attempting to trade on Superman's in-continuity image. But as with the other examples, you can go many directions with this concept. The Chilian Flash! The Icelandic Iron Man! Have fun...
